Training on freedom of expression and the right of access to public documents for Public relations officials of Courts and Prosecutions, and for assistant to the Court Presidents and Chief prosecutors

Today, on July 5 2022, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Council of Europe JUFREX project, are conducting training on Freedom of expression and the right of access to public documents for Public relations officials of Courts and Prosecutions, and for assistant to the Court Presidents and Chief prosecutors.

The purpose of the training is that communication officers within the Courts and Prosecutor's Offices, as well as the assistants of the Court Presidents and Chief Prosecutors, to become more familiar with the innovations regarding freedom of expression, the scope of Article 10 of the ECHR, and the functioning of the European Court for Human Rights.

The rights of access to public documents, local and European Court Jurisprudence on the Right of Access to Public Documents, the role of the Information and Privacy Agency in the right to information, and similar aspects will also be addressed.

Trainers in this training are: Prosecutor Habibe Salihu, Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu, local expert Mrs. Flutra Kusari, as well as the two training panelists Mr. Ekrem Lutfiu - spokesperson in the Special Prosecutor's Office and Mrs. Saranda Ramaj - journalist.

Beneficiaries of the training are the information officers within the Courts and Prosecution Offices as well as assistants of the Court Presidents and Chief Prosecutors.
