On 21 May 2015, At the Bulgarian Palace of Justice in Sofia, Kosovo Judicial Institute and National Institute of Justice of Bulgaria, signed a memorandum of cooperation. This memorandum was signed by the Director of the Kosovo Judicial Institute, Lavdim Krasniqi and Director of Bulgarian National Institute of Justice Dragomir Yordanov.
After signing the memorandum, Director of the Kosovo Judicial Institute, Lavdim Krasniqi stated that by signing this memorandum we are confirming a 10-year cooperation between two institutions. He added that this memorandum will strengthen and broaden the fields of cooperation between two institutions in capacity building of the judiciary and the prosecution of two countries.
Mr. Krasniqi, also stated that Bulgarian Institute of Justice and its experts have great merit in the development of the Kosovo Judicial Institute, and were always willing to support Kosovo justice system. Whilst, the director of the National Institute of Justice of Bulgaria, Dragomir Yordanov, stated that; this memorandum of cooperation will strengthen even more the continuous cooperation between the two institutions. He further states that Kosovo is an important partner of Bulgaria therefore Bulgaria will share with Kosovo its experience in the justice system.
Signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation was attended by the President of the Supreme Court of Bulgaria, Llozan Panov, and Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Bulgaria, Shpend Kallaba, Minister-counselor at the Embassy of Kosovo in Bulgaria, Earn Gllareva.
The signing of this memorandum of cooperation was made during a practical exchange program taking place in different institutions of the judiciary and prosecution in Bulgaria, which was organized by the Kosovo Judicial Institute, National Institute of Justice of Bulgaria and the EU Project "Support to Judicial Education Reform in Kosovo". In this program participated: prosecutors, judges and administrative staff of the prosecutorial and judicial system of Kosovo.
