Training needs assessment techniques

On 10-11 November 2015, Kosovo Judicial Institute, in collaboration with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) conducted training on "Training needs assessment techniques".

The purpose of this training was for the participants to get familiar with the practices of Justice Academy of Germany on training needs assessment process.

On the occasion, were presented needs assessment techniques, selection and participation of judges/prosecutors in training and training evaluation. During the training was also highlighted KJI needs assessment process for drafting training programs and identifying parts that needs improvement toward evaluation process in contribution to real needs of judges and prosecutors.

On the second day, participants through working groups presented training needs assessment techniques used by KJI, showing strengthens, weaknesses opportunities and threats appearing during the process, all this is based on the techniques and the system applied by German Justice Academy presented during this session.

This training is of particular importance due to the fact that it was discussed about the needs assessment process and the importance of the institutions that are involved in this process.

Beneficiaries of this training were judges, prosecutors and KJI representatives, competent officials from KJC and KPK, as well as representatives from Ministry of Justice.
