Sub-module – Witnesses and injured parties in criminal proceeding; Topic: understanding the cooperative witnesses

September 23 2022, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for newly appointed judges (generation 9) is conducting training from the sub-module on “witnesses and injured parties in criminal proceeding” with trainer Mr. Valon Kurtaj, judge in the Special Department of the Basic Court.

In the framework of the first training session under the module "Witnesses and victims in criminal proceedings", the following are being addressed: the procedure of declaring a cooperating witness, evocation of the declaration of a cooperating witness, protection of witnesses and victims, the order for protective measures, order for protective measures (procedure) and order for anonymity from the defendant.

Training methodology is interactive discussions through practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are 29 newly appointed judges, two of whom are of the Serbian community.
