Sub-module: National and International Legal Cooperation; First session: International Legal Cooperation in Criminal matters

October 18 2022, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for newly appointed judges is conducting theoretical training from the sub-module on International Legal Cooperation in criminal matters, with trainer Mr. Armend Hamiti, Prosecutor in the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina.

This training session is covering the following: International legal cooperation and why it is needed, the extradition procedure – an overview and comparative aspects, European arrest warrant, judicial procedure for extradition in Kosovo and the Mutual Legal Assistance in criminal matters.

Training methodology is applying practical cases, elaborating a specific case (example) and what are the measures taken in case of extradition.

Beneficiaries of this training are 19 newly appointed judges, including two judges of the Serbian community.
