Sub-module: national and international legal cooperation; First session: International Legal Cooperation in Criminal Cases

November 4 2021, Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program for the second group of newly appointed judges (generation 9) is conducting a theoretical training from the sub-module on “International legal Cooperation in criminal matters”, with trainer Mr. Armend Hamiti, Prosecutors in the Prishtina Basic Prosecution Office.

This training session is covering the following topics: International legal Cooperation and why it is needed, the extradition procedure – an overview and comparative aspects, European arrest warrant, judicial proceeding for extradition in Kosovo and the Mutual Legal Assistance in criminal matters.

Training methodology is applying practical cases and elaborating specific example on how to bring measures in cases of extradition.

Beneficiaries are 29 newly appointed judges, including two judges of the Serbian community.
