Criminal offences against human rights and freedoms

On 13 December 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute in cooperation with the Council of Europe Office in Prishtina, conducted training on: “Criminal offences against human rights and freedoms”.

The training aimed that through presentation of judicial practical cases and group discussions, to provide alternatives to the problems and practical difficulties in relation to the protection of human rights and freedoms.

The focus of the training were: kidnapping and coercion, illegal deprivation of liberty, maltreatment during official duty or public authority as well as torture and other criminal acts by this chapter.

During this training they were analyzed some of the main offences of Chapter XVII of the Criminal Code. Whereas, participants had the opportunity to discuss the possibilities of effective protection of victims of such offenses.

Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of basic instance and professional associates.
