On December 20th 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute within its Continuous Training Program (CTP) conducted training on Criminal Liability of Legal Entities.
Purpose of this training was to enhance knowledge of judges and prosecutors in eliminating existing dilemmas in practice related to determining criminal liability of criminal offenders - responsible persons of legal entities and of legal entities themselves.
Training mainly focused on elaborating applicable norms pertaining to criminal liability of legal entities, which is closely related to the responsibility of the person in charge who by acting on behalf of legal entity and the granted authorizations, has committed criminal offence with the purpose of bringing some kind of profit to the legal entity, or that has caused damage.
Training was delivered through interactive discussions, with theoretical explanations in some part and using practical examples from the case law.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of basic instance.
