Initial training program activities conducted for the newly appointed prosecutors during July

Academy of Justice, within its Initial Training Program for newly appointed prosecutors, continued to carry out activities as per the schedule. During this period, six (6) training sessions from the Criminal procedure Code Module were delivered.

Under the sub-module on “Covert measures of investigation and surveillance”, there were three training sessions, which covered the following: use of location tracking tools, simulated purchase of items and simulation of corruption offence, control of mail deliveries and covert monitoring of conversations. The newly appointed prosecutors extended their knowledge about implementation of these covert measures, preparing requests for authorizing these measures, and identifying duration of these measures.

Also, under the sub-module on “Records”, three training sessions were conducted, in which the participants were trained about: creating and maintaining records, audio and video recording of sessions, reviewing the records and writs of the case file. Focusing on importance of the records in practice and its writing.

Whereas the practical training component for newly appointed prosecutors during this period was accomplished by attending practical training in their respective prosecutions offices, as per the program.

The Initial Training Program is being undertaken by 22 newly appointed prosecutors, three of whom are of the Serbian community.
