Roundtable: “International Standards of Execution”
On February 23, 2011 Kosovo Judicial Institute, in cooperation with USAID/SEAD (the program for the execution of agreements and decisions in Kosovo) organized a workshop on the topic “International Standards on the Execution Procedure”. This roundtable focused on the implementation of international standards of execution in the European Union and in the Republic of Kosovo. The importance of this training consists in the fact that after its completion judges will be able to:
- To implement the existing recommendations for execution of the Council of.
- To implement the most important provisions of the European Convention for Human Rights (ECHR) related to execution.
- To distinguish the role of the European Court for Human Rights procedure and its basic jurisprudence in execution cases, particularly in cases within the Western Balkans Countries.
- To implement properly the new legal provisions of the Law on Execution Procedure and to identify those provisions that must be modified and supplement the legal gaps in the case of amendment of this law.
The beneficiaries of this roundtable were judges and professional associates that work in the civil field.
