Criminal Code and Criminal Procedural Code

On 17-18 September 2019, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with US-DOJ, in the framework of the Continuous Training Program (CTP), is conducting the training on “Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code”.

This training is dealing with: Amendments of the Criminal Code (Initiation of criminal proceedings for criminal offenses against property; identity theft and access to equipment; matchmaking or sports; animal mistreatment and food and water pollution to animals; unlicensed construction; endangering public traffic and driving while disabled or drunk). Collection of information and evidence from the police (Initial police actions and police authorizations), amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code (Article 82 - Police Criminal Report; Article 84 - Dismissal of a Criminal Report), continuation of amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code (Special investigative measures - with particular emphasis on articles dealing with police authorizations). Initiation of investigation (Article 99 - initiation of criminal proceedings and formal investigation phase or filing of an indictment; Article 102 - Decision to initiate investigation; Article 116 - Identification of persons or objects), investigations term of investigation, termination and reopening of investigations ), interrogation before the indictment (Article 130 - General conditions for pre-trial interrogation, pre-trial statement or special investigative opportunity; Article 149 - Interrogation of the defendant prior to the indictment; Article 170 - Rights of the person arrested during interrogation by the police; and Article 216 - Damage declaration by the injured party).

Beneficiaries of this training were: Police officers of the Republic of Kosovo.
