Roundtable: Module Grievous Crimes

On 17 and 18 September 2012, KJI within its scope conducted the first training session training session from the criminal field where it was addressed the topic of the module “Grievous Crimes”. 

As a result of this training participants will be able to:

- Identify the characteristics of the grievous crimes; 
- Become familiar with the legal provisions of the criminal code dealing with grievous crimes;
- implement the provisions dealing with the trial and punishment of criminal offences classified as grievous crimes; 

This two-day training precedes the preparation of judges and prosecutors on all incriminating actions qualified as grievous crimes. During this training there was a criminal analytical review of the criminal offences such as: Attack on Kosovo's legal order, terrorism, inciting hatred and discord or racial intolerance, religious and ethnic discrimination. In addition, a special attention was given to offenses against sexual integrity, against the general security and property.

The beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors from all levels and in all regions of Kosovo.
