CLEP Training Trial Advocacy Skills

On 13 until 15 November 2012, in cooperation with the USA Department of Justice (OPDAT), within the continuous training program, conducted training on “Trial Advocacy Skills”.

The main purpose of this training was the presentation and application of the most advanced techniques of the trial advocacy, which is considered as a novelty of the New Criminal Procedural Code, expected to enter into force soon. 
In order to apply these techniques, the participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on direct examination, cross examination, impeachment, re-direct examination and rehabilitation, opening statement and closing argument. 

During the training, the participants reviewed also a study case, whereas in working groups and by being recorded they had to demonstrate their trial advocacy skills with the assistance of KJI trainers.
Beneficiaries of this training were: judges, prosecutors, lawyers and victim advocates.
