Today, March 4, 2021, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the US Embassy in Zagreb is organizing a regional webinar for Judges on Electronic Evidence.
In this session the concepts of cybercrime and electronic evidence were introduced, including different types of cybercrime, different types of electronic evidence and where electronic evidence can be found.
Also part of the discussions was the verification of electronic evidence such as metadata, hash and original values versus copies, three-step stages of trial, investigation and in-depth analysis.
This session also provided an overview of the basic steps and best practices in taking electronic evidence in response to an incident (whether arresting or searching an apartment or business).
Beneficiaries of this webinar were judges of the appeal court and basic courts.
