Sub-module - "International legal cooperation in civil field", first session - topic "International legal cooperation in civil matters"

On May 31, 2021, within the initial training program for newly appointed judges eighth generation (8) a theoretical training is being conducted under the module "International legal cooperation in the civil field" with trainer Mr. Valon Totaj judge at the Court of Appeals.

In the framework of this training session, the following topics are being addressed: Procedure for international legal cooperation in the civil field for petitions originating from Kosovo, and petitions originating from foreign countries, addressed to Kosovo, Jurisdiction under the Law on Arbitration, The Lugano Convention, the Hague Conference on Private International Law (ICTY) and the European Union - legal regulations in the field of European civil procedure as well as the Minsk Convention.

The training methodology is being implemented through practical cases addressing issues from inter-institutional cooperation as in this case with the Ministry of Justice. The training is being conducted physically at the Academy of Justice. Beneficiaries of the training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are from the Serb community.
