Summary of ICT industry specifics, licensing and property rights

On July 9, 2021, the Academy of Justice, in collaboration with Checchi & Company Consulting Inc., as the implementer of the Commercial Justice Program within the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), continued to develop pilot training in commercial law, more precisely on the topic: "Summary of the specifics of the ICT industry, licensing and property rights"

This training comes as a continuation of the process of recruiting Trainers in the Commercial field, and fulfilling the planned curriculum.

The purpose of the training is for the trainers to initially develop pilot trainings defined according to specific topics, as well as to provide additional knowledge to the beneficiaries in the meaning and importance of information technology, legal and ethical challenges of technology, nature of laws, nature of internet, types of software etc.

Issues related to e-commerce, dispute resolution, personal data protection and challenges in their protection, intellectual property in the digital sphere, intellectual property licensing, etc. will also be addressed. The training is being conducted once again in a hybrid way with participants being present in the training room and in the zoom, always respecting the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and NIPH.

Beneficiaries of the training are: Judges of the Economic department, Judges of the general department-civil division, as well as professional associates.
