Publication of basic training modules for professional associates of courts and prosecution offices

On December 6, 2021, the Academy of Justice held the publication ceremony of Basic Training Modules for professional associates and legal officers of courts and prosecution. The ceremony was held in presence of the panelists and support partners as well as online through the ZOOM platform for professional associates and the other legal community. Those present at this ceremony were addressed by Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, Executive Director at the Academy of Justice, nj. Valbona Bogujevci, UNDP Program Coordinator, Chairman of the KJC, Mr. Albert Zogaj and on behalf of the authors of the modules on the criminal matters, Mr. Afrim Shala, Acting President of the Court of Appeals and Mr. Valon Totaj, Judge at the Court of Appeals for the module - civil matters.

Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, among other things, emphasized that these modules will contribute on capacity building of the judiciary, and will greatly facilitate the practical work of professional associates and legal officers. He further thanked the UNDP and the SAEK project who enabled the implementation of these modules, the authors in their design and the OSCE for translation into Serbian.

Mrs. Valbona Bogujevci on behalf of UNDP thanked the Academy of Justice for the cooperation and mentioned among other things, the importance of increasing the number of professional associates in courts and prosecution and also the good opportunity for practical use of these modules by them.

Even the authors of the publications Mr. Afrim Shala and Valon Totaj, stressed the importance of developing these modules and further implementing training for these categories as they are a good opportunity for professional development and the implementation of a better practice when deciding on legal issues which contain the relevant modules.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of UNDP, SAEK, court presidents, supervisory judges, professional associates and legal officers from courts and prosecutors' offices at all levels.
