On 23 October 2014, Kosovo Judicial Institute under the Continuous Training Program, conducted training for judges and prosecutors on "International Legal Cooperation in Civil and Criminal Matters."
This training intended to provide judges and prosecutors assistance in identifying extradition, recognition methods and the cross-border undercover investigation, enhance of knowledge on drafting the European arrest warrant and order for the confiscation of property.
This training focused on: Law on International Legal Cooperation, extradition and specifics in extradition cases, extradition proceedings and simplified extradition procedure in Kosovo, European arrest warrant, specifics on execution of foreign judgments, cross-border covert investigations, etc.
In this roundtable was also discussed the establishment of best practices in terms of international cooperation.
The training was conducted interactively, where participants along with trainers engaged by KJI, addressed issues of judicial practice and cases faced during their daily work.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of Basic and Appellate level.
