On 20 October 2015, within the Continuous Training Program, KJI organized a roundtable discussion on "Cooperation and communication of prosecutors with police investigator preliminary procedure"
This roundtable was focused on the challenges, problems and current practices relating cooperation and communication between prosecutors and police investigators in preliminary procedure.
Within this roundtable were discussed the powers and duties of police investigators, the competencies and authority of the prosecutor, the relationship between prosecutors and police investigators and more efficient forms of cooperation and communication.
During this roundtable panelists raised questions and opened discussions on these topics with a view to identifying problems uncertainties in practice in terms of developing cooperation and better communication.
Beneficiaries of this roundtable were: judges, prosecutors of basic instance and investigators.
