The integrity of the judiciary as a condition for gaining public confidence

On 8 December 2015, within the CTP, the Kosovo Judicial Institute has conducted training on "integrity of the judiciary as a condition for gaining public confidence.”

This training aimed to advance the knowledge about the professional ethical conduct of judges and prosecutors in their work and in life outside it, towards raising of public confidence in judicial institutions.

The works in this training were mainly focused on the elaboration of applicable ethical norms and other norms of code of conduct, the importance of professionalism, integrity and moral dignity, the principle of independence and impartiality as well as factors affecting the violation of these principles.

Within this training were also treated the unprofessional  and personal behaviour that weaken the public trust such as conflicts of interest, the internal and external impacts and non-judicial activities with the emphasis on financial independency.

 The beneficiaries of this training were judges at basic level.
