On 02 December 2016, KJI within Continuous Training Program conducted training on: “Measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the proceeding”.
This training aims to advance the knowledge on practical implementation of the measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the procedure, problems faced in cases of non-implementation or improper implementation of the legal provisions and their effect in the judicial proceeding.
This training focused on the measured and foreseen by the Criminal Procedural Code to ensure the presence of the defendant in the procedure, such as: house arrest, bailiff and detention.
Also during the training were discussed the elements for imposing detention and legal conditions for determining the measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the proceeding, as well as respecting the human rights and freedoms in cases of imposition of these measures.
The training was very interactive, where the participants had the opportunity to discuss and analyze the problems encountered during the implementation of these measures
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of basic instance.
