Today, October 26 2023, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Office of the Council of Europe in Prishtina, the KOSEJ III Project is conducting the two-days training focusing on the CEPEJ Methodology in the capacity increase of Courts and Prosecution offices based on statistical reports and CMIS dashboards.
This training is a continuation of the training of the first level on the CEPEJ methodology, that was delivered in 2022, in which case the general training objective was raising awareness on the CEPEJ tools and the possibilities provided by the Case Management Information System (CMIS) for improvements to the function of courts, with focus on the court performance and duration of the court procedures.
The training will mainly focus on the support of data oriented decisions using the CEPEJ methodology and indicators. The training program will be adjusted based on the different level of knowledge on the CEPEJ tools in prosecution offices compared with the courts. The activity will present an opportunity for the Courts/ Kosovo Judicial Council and the Prosecution Offices / Kosovo prosecutorial Council to discuss on common concerns related to the efficiency and performance and to identify the potential solutions based on the CEPEJ methodology.
During this training, participants will be divided in working groups and will have the possibility to present their achievements, challenges, issues related to receiving of cases, their processing, and monitoring of the work through the CMIS.
The training is being supported and moderated by the fours experts engaged by the Council of Europe: Mr. Ivan CRNČEC, CEPEJ Expert/Vice president of CEPEJ (Croatia); Mr. Vincent MACQ, CEPEJ Expert/ Chief Prosecutor (Belgium); Mr. Rimantas SIMAITIS, CEPEJ Expert on Mediation and Cyber justice (Lithuania); Mrs. Ana KRNIĆ, CEPEJ expert on case weighting (Croatia).
Beneficiaries of this training are Court presidents, Chief prosecutors, Officers of the IT and Statistics Departments of Court and Prosecution Offices.
