On 29 September 2009, Kosovo Judicial Institute organized the advance training for lay-judges. The subjects that were discussed during this training were focused on practical aspects of and the role of lay-judges during the application of the Kosovo Family Law, the role of lay-judges in the decision making process as well as during the adult and juvenile criminal proceedings. A special attention was paid to the rules set forth under the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Lay-judges.The beneficiaries of this training were lay-judges of Peja and Prizren region.
