On 17 December 2009, Kosovo Judicial Institute organized, a seminar under the topic: “Prohibition of the torture, Article 3 of European Convention of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom”. During this seminar initially was presented a short background of the establishment of Council of Europe and its organizing structure, furthermore during this seminar was also presented a general overview of Article 3 and its purpose, by treating the human punishment or the detention centers, the effect of extradition and expulsion in relation with right to life and human degradation, as well as the practice of this Article by the other countries where the deprivation from the liberty is applicable. The beneficiaries of this training were: judges, prosecutors and professional associates of certain regions of Kosovo.
