On February 24, 2021, the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice, Mr. Enver Fejzullahu held a meeting with the Ombudsperson Mr. Nehat Qelaj. Present in this meeting were also Mr. Habit Hajredini - Director of the Office for Good Governance within the Office of the Prime Minister and two representatives from UNDP Mrs. Virgin Dumnica and Mr. Ardian Latifaj.
During the meeting were discussed issues of further coordination of activities in strengthening the implementation of the Law on Protection from Discrimination and public awareness and the broad extent of the rights provided under this Law.
This meeting came as a result of the work of focus groups conducted during 2020, on issues and challenges in the field of Discrimination where the Academy of Justice and the Ombudsman Institution have been one of the key actors in this field.
Executive Director Mr. Fejzullahu expressed gratitude for the work of the Ombudsperson Institution and UNDP, as well as showed the readiness and will to continue further in strengthening the implementation of the Law against Discrimination.
It is worth noting that the Academy of Justice, in its Training Program of 2021, has incorporated some of the topics proposed by the focus groups on the Law on Protection from Discrimination.
