October 2021, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges (generation 8) is conducting a theoretical training from the sub-module on “Criminal Procedure Code – The State Prosecutor, defense of the injured parties and the defendant as parties in a criminal proceeding” with trainer Mr. Besim Kelmendi, Prosecutor in the Chief State Prosecutor’s Office.
This training session is addressing the following: understanding position of the injured party in criminal proceeding, rights of the injured parties according to the criminal procedure code, obligations of the court in relation to the injured party and obligation to pay the expenses of the criminal proceeding.
The training methodology that is being applied consist of practical cases as well as interactive discussions. The training is being conducted in person at the Academy of Justice, implementing all measures against the COVID-19.
Beneficiaries of the training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are from the Serb community.
