October 25 2021, Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges (generation 8) is conducting theoretical training from the sub-module on Criminal Procedure Code – Procedure involving perpetrators with mental disorders, with trainer Mr. Avni Mehmeti, judge in the Mitrovica Basic Court.
First session of this training is covering the following: criminal liability of natural persons, causes of waiver from liability and measures that can be imposed to perpetrators with mental disorders. Training methodology is applying presentation of practical cases and interactive discussions. The training is taking place at the premises of the Academy of Justice, implementing protection measures against Covid-19.
Beneficiaries of this training are the 25 newly appointed judges, two of whom are of the Serbian community.
