On 8 October 2014, KJI in cooperation with the KJC, conducted a roundtable discussion with heads of minor offence divisions of all Basic Courts and their branches on: "Challenges of Minor offence Judges".
The purpose of the workshop was to identify the challenges faced by the minor offence judges and ways that would impact on strengthening the capacity of judges in order to increase the efficiency of work in order to complete the backlog of cases and finding alternative ways in resolving the aforementioned cases.
The roundtable was held interactively where Mr. Enver Peci, Head of KJC Chair raised concerns about the condition of the courts and the degree of efficiency, requiring maximum engagement of all stakeholders in enhancing though the efficiency and work performance. On the other hand, participants present in the roundtable stressed out the challenges and difficulties faced by judges and their commitment in finding ways to overcome these problems and increase the efficiency of the courts.
At the end, KJI Director expressed his willingness to support and provide the necessary infrastructure for the organization of seminars and training in order to facilitate the work of judges in this regard.
