December 16 2021, Academy of Justice within the Continuous Training Program is conducting an online training via Zoom on the following topic: Criminal liability of legal persons. Trainers engaged for this activity are Mr. Besim Kelmendi Prosecutor in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, and Mr. Ramadan Gashi permanent trainer at the Academy of Justice.
Purpose of this training is to extend the knowhow on the types of business organizations that can be criminally prosecuted, the legal framework for prosecuting legal entities and types of sanctions that can be imposed to legal entities.
Particular emphasis was put on elaboration of the criminal liability of the responsible person for the offences committed on behalf of the legal entity, as well as the case law of the national as well as of the EU and US courts pertaining to criminal liability of legal entities.
Training methodology is combined with interactive discussions and practical cases.
Beneficiaries of this training are judges if the Appeals Court as well as judges and prosecutors of the Basic instance.
