On 05 February 2015, Kosovo Judicial Institute within Continuous Training Program conducted training on: “Domestic Violence”
The purpose of the training was to advance professional knowledge on properly implementation of legal provisions regarding procedures and deadlines for deciding on requests for protection orders and use of standard procedures for protection from domestic violence.
During this training was discussed the national and international legislation on protection and prevention of domestic violence as well as state obligation to protect domestic violence cases as a serious violation of human rights.
Among other issues in this training was also discussed about judicial procedure, protection measures and their duration, execution and consequences for non-execution of protection order, institutional mechanisms and other stakeholders involved directly in protection of domestic violence victims.
The training was developed through discussions and concrete problems raised by participants with the purpose of having in place a unified judicial practice.
