July 15 2022, Executive Director of the Kosovo Justice Academy Mr. Enver Fejzullahu and Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council Mr. Albert Zogaj, signed the Memorandum of Understanding for fulfilling the responsibilities that derive from the Rule of Law Strategy between the two institutions.
Purpose of this memorandum is to set forth the parties’ terms, scope of work and responsibilities on the following areas: drafting of training programs for members of the judge’s performance evaluation committees, training the members of the recruitment committees of judges, the mandatory trainings that derive as a result of deficiencies on the judges performance evaluations, training of the KJC Verification Unit Officials, the court translators/ interpreters, assessing the training impact and ensuring tools for coordinating training of judges and interconnection of databases, exchange of information between the KJC and AJ.
The AJ Executive Director stated that the institution he is leading will be committed to implement trainings for the judicial system in order to reach the necessary capacity development of the judicial system.
Chairman Zogaj, in this occasion stated that this MoU will focus on exchange of mutual information for implementation of the activities and exchange of mutual information for training needs assessment, determining policies, program implementation and exchange of training related information.
Judicial Council and the Justice Academy will continuously exchange information of training participation and other programs.
