Induction course for administrative staff of prosecution offices

On 01-05 June 2015, KJI in cooperation with the EU funded project "Further Support to the

Legal Education Reform in Kosovo" EULER II, for the first time conducted an induction course for the administrative staff of prosecution.

The purpose of the training was to increase the performance of the administrative staff of prosecutors, professional and capacity building, providing general information about the structure and administration of judicial and prosecutorial system, principles and main tasks in carrying out administrative responsibilities within the system and promoting the quality of services provided by members of the administration.

During the five-day induction course were addressed the following topics: Introduction to the Kosovo justice system, and constitutional principles, legislation and institutions, short review of judicial reform in historical terms (after 1999) and recent legislative changes concerning the structure and functioning of the judicial and prosecutorial system, introduction to judicial / prosecution system - related legislation, functions and responsibilities .. Code of Ethics Professional Conduct, access to information, confidentiality of data and classified information and data protection (relevant legal acts, practical aspects), the concept of "quality-oriented services" and in the service of citizens, as well as introduction of planning, management, time and stress management.

After each theoretical part, the training was characterized by working groups.

Beneficiaries of this training were 41 various officials from prosecution offices including legal offices, victim advocates, financial officers, archive and technical officials, IT clerks and interpreters.
