On 17 May 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute in cooperation with the Council of Europe Office in Prishtina, organizes training on: “Article 5 of the Convention on Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom”.
Within this training will be analyzed the provision of Article 5 of ECHR, legitimacy of detention, deprivation of the liberty as part of the criminal process, obligation to justify the arrest within a short period of time, obligation to bring the detainees before the competent judicial authority within the reasonable timing, or release until the day of the trial and the right to compensation.
Beneficiaries of this training will be judges of the basic and appeal court, prosecutors and professional associates.
