Sub-module – Juvenile Justice Code – Session Five: Preparatory Procedure, Arrest, Police Detention, Detention and Trial and Court Decisions

On October 31, 2022, within the framework of the Initial Program for the newly appointed judges of the ninth generation, the first group was given theoretical training under the module "Juvenile Justice Code" with trainer Mrs. Nesrin Lushta, judge at the Supreme Court.

During the implementation of this session, the following were addressed: the police criminal report, the initiation and duration of the preparatory procedure, not initiating the preparatory procedure (principle of opportunity), the suspension of the preparatory procedure, arrest, police detention, the meaning of detention, the appointment of detention towards minors and the course of the detention procedure and the form of the detention decision.

The training methodology is implemented with practical cases and the interactive discussion.

Beneficiaries of the training are 29 newly appointed judges, where two of them are from the Serbian community.
