Training of Trainers: “European Union Criminal Law”

From February 28 until March 02, 2011, KJI in cooperation with the Twinning Program (Legal Education System Reform) organized a three day specialized seminar for judicial trainers of KJI. Training topics include: The Criminal Law of the EU, the relevant instruments of Criminal Law of the EU, the European arrest warrant, procedural matters and mutual assistance in criminal matters.

The importance of this training consists in that participants after its completion will be able to:

·To explain the role and the importance of the relevant instruments of the EU Criminal Law,

·To explain the role of the European Arrest Warrant,

·To identify the preconditions and the procedural issues regarding European Arrest Warrant

·To draft the European Evidence Warrant and to know how to fill the form of this order.

·To draft the European Freezing and Confiscation Order

·To apply international legal assistance in criminal matters

The beneficiaries of this seminar were KJI trainers who will in future be certified as trainers on EU Law (judges, prosecutors and lawyers).
