On 11 and 12 October 2012, KJI in cooperation with Center for Legal Assistance and Regional Development (CLARD) and European Center for Minority Issues (ECMI) held two roundtables on “Anti-discrimination”.
As a result of this training the participants will be able to:
• Apply properly the international standards and European provisions on anti-discrimination;
• Interpret and apply properly the constitutional provisions and national laws which ensures protection against discrimination;
• Interpret and distinguish the forms of discrimination;
• Apply efficiently the procedures and legal principles on discrimination;
During the session were discussed issues relates to the international standards, legal provisions against discrimination and the role of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo in application of this principle. During the session were given appropriate recommendations on how to implement international and national legal provisions against discrimination. Through working groups were also treated practical cases related to the topic.
Beneficiaries of this session were civil judges and minor offence judges from all regions of Kosovo.
