On September 22-23, 2020, the Academy of Justice within the Continuous Training Program in cooperation with the US Department of Justice / OPDAT, is conducting a workshop through the Zoom platform on "Advancing the confiscation of illegal property."
Criminal law prosecutors engaged in this workshop are: Mr. Shqipdon Fazliu, National Coordinator for Economic Crimes and Mr. Corey Smith, Resident Legal Advisor at OPDAT.
The purpose of this workshop is to advance the knowledge of prosecutors and police officers about the confiscation of property obtained through criminal offenses.
The methodology of the workshop is being developed with the joint work of prosecutors and police officers in a hypothetical case which will be treated as a real case.
Beneficiaries of this workshop are: Prosecutors appointed as coordinators for confiscation, prosecutors of Basic Prosecution and Police Investigators.
