Session 1 - Trafficking for the purpose of exploitation of forced labor

On 05 November 2020, the Academy of Justice within the Continuous Training Program, in cooperation with the US Department of Justice / OPDAT is conducting training through the Zoom platform on "Trafficking for forced labor".

Trainers engaged in this training are: Amy Fryberger - FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Special Surveillance Agents for Crimes against Children and the Human Trafficking Unit and Tiffany Short - Child Program Coordinator, Federal Bureau of Investigation - FBI, Victim Assistance Division, Child Services Unit.

 

The purpose of this training is to advance the professional knowledge of judges, prosecutors and other beneficiaries regarding the recruitment, accommodation, transportation, securing or taking of a person for work or services, using force, deception or coercion, to subject him to involuntary captivity, debt dependence or slavery.

The methodology applied was of a combined nature, with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions.

Beneficiaries of this training are: judges, prosecutors, police and lawyers.
