On March 13th 2014, the KJI organized the workshop on the topic of “Discrimination aspects according to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) perspective”.
Purpose of this training was improvement of the participant’s skills in application of Article 14 of the ECHR for non-discrimination, as well as identification of violations made in the Kosovo judicial practice in comparison with the practice of European Court on Human Rights.
This roundtable elaborated the following issues: Discrimination – European standards, the practice of the European Court on Human Rights, Law against discrimination and its application by administrative and judicial bodies. The training also provided possibility for interactive discussion of the court cases.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of the basic instance of all regions of Kosovo, as well as professional associates from Prizren and Mitrovica region.
