“Protection against domestic violence”

On March 6th 2014, The KJI within its Continuous Training Program conducted training on the topic of Protection against domestic violence.

Purpose of this training was to help the participants to distinguish measures imposed to violence perpetrators, to correctly implement the procedure for deciding upon the request for protection order, and to correctly interpret provisions for issuing protection orders and measures.

This training session elaborated the forms and types of protection orders, court jurisprudence in reviewing requests for protection order, types of protection measures that may be imposed along with the protection order, as well as role of the police and the court in regard to enforcement of protection order.

The training was conducted dividing the participants into groups, adding case studies from the case law.

Beneficiaries of this training were judges of the Appellate and Basic Courts.
