Criminal offences against human rights and liberties

On May 21st 2014, the KJI within its program for other professionals of the judicial and prosecutorial system realized a one-day training on “Criminal offences against human rights and liberties”.

Purpose of this training was to acquaint with basic concepts and the defense object, offenders as well as the legal basis regulating these criminal offences.  

This training presented and discussed abort main characteristics of these offences, crucial elements that distinguish them from other criminal offences, as well as the case law in Kosovo and in Strasbourg in this context.

The afternoon session of this training presented practical study cases, giving the participants the possibility to identify different types of these offences, as well as the ways they are committed, as well as people responsible.

Beneficiaries of this training were professional associates of courts and prosecutions of Kosovo.
