Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights

On March 17-18 2022, Academy of Justice in cooperation and support of the EU Intellectual Property Program in Kosovo, within the AJ Continuous Training Program is conducting a traning on “Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights”.

Trainers engaged in this activity are Dr. Ioannis Kikkis – Key expert of the EU IPL Project, Mr. Erdogan Ishakoglou – Supreme Court Judge in Turkey, Mrs. Myrto Lambrou Maurer - Head of International Affairs at the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization, Greece, Mr. Valon Kashtanjeva – PhD Candidate, Senior Expert at the EU IPL Project, Dr. Galatea Kapellakou – Lawyer, and Dr. Krystallenia Kolotourou – lawyer.

In an introductory remark, opened by Mr. Enver Fejzullahu – Executive Director of the Academy of Justice, he thanked the international experts as well as the participants for cooperation and their engagement.

The purpose of this training is to advance the knowledge of the participants on the legal basis and international and EU standards for the protection and implementation of intellectual property rights.

The training methodology is of a character combined with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions while presenting practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges from the Supreme Court - Special Chamber, Court of Appeals, judges and prosecutors from the Basic instance, representatives from Kosovo Customs, police officers and officials from the Ministry of Culture.
