The right to privacy, family life, residence and correspondence, to marry and start a family, and to equality of spouses - Article 8 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms

On March 22, 2022, the Academy of Justice within the Continuous Training Program is conducting training on "The right to private life, family life, residence and correspondence, to marry and start a family and for equality of spouses - Article 8 European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms”.

Trainers engaged in this training are Mr. Faton Ademi, judge at the Court of Appeals, Mr. Skender Çoçaj, judge at the Basic Court in Prizren and Mr. Islam Sllamniku, permanent trainer at the Academy of Justice.

The training focused on the elaboration of the notions and categories contained in Article 8 on the right to respect for private and family life as well as the way of interpretation made by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg.

The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions while presenting practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges from the Court of Appeals, the Basic Court, prosecutors from the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor and the Basic Prosecution.
