On November 25th 2014, the Kosovo Judicial Institute within its Continuous Training Program conducted training for judges and prosecutors on the topic of “Environmental Law and environmental crimes”
This training was held with the aim of increasing the participant’s professional capacity in accurate application of both national and international law in the area of environmental crimes, identification of types and effects of environmental crimes, and exchange of practices in fighting criminal offences against environment.
This training session elaborated issues related to importance that shall be paid to combating environmental crimes. Also, the training treated criminal offences set forth in the Criminal Code of Kosovo, in International Conventions and other legislation applicable for regulating the environmental matters.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of all instances.
