On 14 September 2015, Kosovo Judicial Institute in cooperation with Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and supported by OSCE, conducted a training on: “The strategy for reducing the backlog of cases bases on chapter XIV of CCK”.
The purpose of thetrainingwas to assess theimplementation of the requirementsarising from thestrategyforreducing the numberof cases,the presentation of datatothe extent of useofalternative proceduresand the elimination ofdifficultiesin the implementation ofalternative proceduresby theprosecutionat the local level.
Special emphasis was paid to the temporary suspension of theproceedingsunder Article230of the CCK, the conditions whenprosecution is not mandatoryunder Article231of the CCK, the mediation procedureunder Article232of CCK, the negotiation of plea bargain agreementunder Article233CCK, determination andcommitment topriority cases.
Beneficiaries of this training were 22prosecutors from basic Prosecution in Prishtina.
