With the invitation of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, a delegation composed by the representatives of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the Kosovo Judicial Council and the Kosovo Judicial Institute, from 26-30 October 2015 conducted a working visit to the institutions of justice of the Republic Turkey.
During the stay in Ankara, the Kosovo delegation was hosted in separate meetings by heads of the highest justice institutions of Turkey, starting from the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of the Court of Cassation, which is the highest level of prosecutorial system in the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Justice, Constitutional Court, Court of Cassation, the Court for Resolution of competence Disputes, Higher Administrative Court and the Justice Academy.
During these meetings, Kosovo delegation gained information on the organization and functioning of prosecutorial and judicial system of the Republic of Turkey. Special emphasis during these meetings were paid to discussions relating fight against organized crime, transnational crime and the fight against terrorism.
Also, during the meetings was discussed about the intensification of cooperation between judicial institutions of the two countries, in terms of raising the professional capacities of prosecutors, judges and support staff of the prosecutorial and judicial system of the Republic of Kosovo.
