On 3 November 2015, Kosovo Judicial Institute, within specialized program on Commercial Law and in cooperation with USAID - CLE conducted training on "Patents".
This training aimed to contribute on expansion of knowledge on issues related to patents as important documents that are still being vigorously developing in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on patent issues that directly affect Kosovar businesses and commercial transactions.
As part of this training was discussed the implementation of national legislation on patents and Kosovo's international obligations in this area, the difference between patents and other intellectual property objects in Kosovo, as well as material and formal conditions for obtaining patents. During the training was also elaborated rights acquired by patents and their limitations, duration of the patent, the implementation of patent rights, and cases of loss of patent rights.
Training methodology focused on interactive discussion on practical issues.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges of the Court of Appeal - Department of Economic Affairs, and judges from the Basic Court of Pristina - Department of Economic Affairs and Administrative Department.
