On 03 May 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute within the Continuous Training Program (CTP), organized training on: “Law on Protection of Personal Data”
The training aimed to treat primary and secondary legislation for the protection of personal data in Kosovo and contribute in capacity building of participants toward implementation of the law in his area.
Initially, during the training were elaborated the legal mandate and responsibilities of the State Agency for Protection of Personal Data, processing of personal data, the principles for processing of personal data and the measures and procedures in case of violation of personal data.
Furthermore, during this training were discussed judicial and administrative protection of personal data by the judiciary and standards in relation to the EU Law and the European Convention on Human Rights, in which case were analyzed and discussed several cases of the ECHR case law the field of protection of the right to privacy and protection of personal data.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges of the appellate and basic department – administrative department in Prishtina and other basic courts.
