Confiscation procedures

On 03, 05 and 10 of May 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute within the continuous trainings, in cooperation with OSCE, has realised three training sessions on the topic "Confiscation procedures stipulated in Chapter XVIII of the Criminal Procedure Code".

In the focus of the training was the treatment of general aspects of confiscation procedures, forms, characteristics and key elements of the procedure based on the applicable legal framework in Kosovo.

There were also treated types of sequestration, the test which is used to testify commission of the criminal offense, what cannot be sequestrated, order for freezing the account, the detaining order, ban of property, interim measures, objections, the sale of property, defining the material benefits, challenges, including confiscation by a third party in cases of corruption and economic crimes.

The trainings were elaborated through the analysis of cases from practice.

The beneficiaries of this training were prosecutors, police investigators and professional associates.
