On 04 October 2016, Kosovo Judicial Institute, within CTP conducted training on: "Crimes against life and body - Aggravated murder and murder".
The training aimed that through presentation of practical judicial cases and group discussions, to provide alternatives for problems and difficulties faced in practice toward offenses against life and body.
During this training were discussed in detail the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo on crimes against life and body with a special focus on offenses of aggravated murder and murder, general aspects of these offences, the forms of aggravated murder and murder, the motive for committing such offences, as well as their legal qualification. During this training were stressed out the difficulties in the current judicial practice regarding this segment. Whereas, comparisons with the legislation of some countries in the region regarding the legal treatment of these offences as were part of this training.
The methodology applied in this training was combined. Initially, was applied the theoretical method of elaboration of specific acts of murder and aggravated murder, followed by interactive discussion as appropriate to encourage participants in debating and presenting challenges faced by them while handling cases of this nature.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of basic level.
